SILVER SNUFF BOX, CARD CASE, SNUFF BOX

AN 18TH CENTURY BARREL-SHAPED NUTMEG GRATER, engraved
with bands of quatrefoils on а chequered ground between
horizontal staves, l/sin. high, apparently unmarked, circa 1800
(grater zvanting); and an ovoid example, threaded to reveal
a steel grater, PMn. long, struck zvith tnaker s mark DF only, circa 1800.

within florai borders, the lid centred by an
initialled and crested cartouche, reeded sides and
gilt interior, 3in., by Nathaniel Mills,
Birmingham, 1830.

A GEORGE IV OBLONG SNUFF BOX, the lid and
sides engine turned, the lid centred by an applied
plaque featuring an equestrian scene within
bound reeded borders, shell and foliate snap and
gilt interior, 23, marked on base and lid,
makers mark IWG, London, 1829.

the lid inset with a compass, reeded sides and gilt
interior, 3in., by William Ellerby, London,

by a vacant cartouche, reeded sides and florai snap, gilt
interior, 23/sin., marked on base and lid, by William
Phillips, Birmingham, apparently 1836.

birds on a matted ground incorporating two
initialled cartouches, the sides with foliate
arabesques, 33 long, by Joseph Willmore, Bir-
mingham, 1834.

A CARD CASE, cast and chased in relief on one side
with Windsor Castle and applied with a shield
engraved with a crest on the other, otherwise
engine turned within reeded borders, 33 long,
by Gervase Wheeler, Birmingham, 1839.

A GEORGE III OBLONG CONCAVE SNUFF BOX,
bright cut with quatrefoils on a pricked ground,
the flush hinged lid centred by a vavant cartouche, the
sides pricked with a band of interlaced ovals, gilt interior,
25/mn., marked on base and lid, by John Shazv, Birmingham, 1808.

A George III oblong Snuff Box, entirely lobed, with flush
hinged lid, the gilt interior engraved with a presentation
inscription, by Samuel Pemberton, Birmingham, 1809.
