A George III Snuff Box, in the form of a purse,
decorated with wriggleworked bands, the borders 44
engraved with annulets, the lid with foliage,
gilt interior, 2in., marked on base and lid,
by Samuel Pemberton, Birmingham, 1816.
A SILVER-MOUNTED TORTOISESHELL SNUFF BOX,
with plain sides and moulded borders, the lid later
applied with a wine label cast and chased with
putti, grape clusters and a mask, the box /sin.
apparently unmarked, circa 1740, the
label Birmingham, 1816.

turned, the lid centred by an initialled cartouche,
reeded sides and foliate snap, gilt interior, sin.
